Long

Aurum Squared is a software studio founded in 2023, with offices in Jakarta and San Francisco. Its engineers have shipped at AWS, Twitch, and Maybank. The studio has delivered more than ten projects for startups and enterprises, including AWS, Twitch, and Y Combinator portfolio companies.

The name

In Indonesia, a man is addressed as “Mas”, as in “Mas Nathan”. Plurals are made by saying the word twice, so a group of men is “mas-mas”, which sounds like “emas”, the Indonesian word for gold. Gold is Au, from the Latin aurum. The studio was founded by two of them: mas-mas, aurum-aurum, Aurum Squared.
